Got Milk? Not my kid!

What if your child refuses to drink milk? Like gags, spits out, and makes awesome faces if it touches her lips?

We're told children are supposed to be introduced to milk at about 12 months and it's recommended they drink 2 cups by some doctors.

We had spitting up, throwing up, and finally giving up. 

We started eating a lot of yogurt in my house. 

I was sharing my no milk saga with a friend and she mentioned I should try a smoothie. A smoothie?! Eureka! Why the heck didn't I think of that? SMH. 

AND there are a bunch of other ways we can help our little ones drink milk.  

Here's my 9 favorite things to sneak milk into:

(To some of you this list may seem sooooo obvious but in the moment when I was struggling with milk I didn't think of any of them!)

1. Smoothie (combinations are endless!)

2. Scrambled eggs

3. French toast

4. Oatmeal

5. A bowl of cereal (duh- but you may have forgotten this!)

6. Quinoa

7. Mashed potatoes or yams

9. Overnight oats

For overnight oats, it's just a combination of equal parts raw rolled oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup yogurt.  Put in fridge overnight either covered or uncovered and let the oats soak up the liquid. 

I sure did wish that was an even 10 things but I only used 9.  What is a tenth food I can add milk to? Would love to add one more to my go to list! xx Becky
